Frequently asked questions
An RMT is a Registered Massage Therapist. All RMTs in Ontario are primary health care professionals and are regulated by the College of Massage Therapists (CMTO). Becoming an RMT requires graduation from a recognized Massage Therapy training program and subsequent successful completion of both a written and practical exam through the CMTO.
At Happy Body Therapeutic Massage, you can expect full therapist-client confidentiality and a welcoming environment no matter your gender, age, orientation or background.

Together we will design a treatment plan based on your unique health history and health goals. During your first appointment you can expect to have a lengthier discussion about your health history and current issues so that Aislinn can ensure a safe and effective treatment and you can enjoy your massage. The treatment plan requires your consent to go ahead and at any point during the course of your massage you can ask to stop or to have an adjustment made. It is up to you how much clothing you wear. Many treatments can be done over the clothes.
Are you expected to talk? Of course not! Do not feel like you have to converse with your Massage Therapist. If you find conversation distracting from the experience, then by all means relax and enjoy the massage in silence without concern that you are offending anyone.
Not into spa music or the bird sounds Aislinn likes to play? Aislinn is happy to play whatever music you'd like throughout your treatment.
We are located at 376 Dublin St. in Peterborough, Ontario. You will be greeted by our beautiful spruce trees as you walk to the door. On street parking is available on Dublin St. in front of the house and surrounding streets. If parking in front on the house, please refrain from parking on the grass so as to avoid a parking ticket. Within Peterborough, vehicles are permitted to park up to 3 hours unless signs indicate otherwise. Please come to the red front door as close to your appointment time as possible. I will meet you at the front door and let you in.
From the street side there is uneven ground and two steps up to the front entrance. If you require assistance to get into the clinic I am happy to help. There is an alternate entrance from the driveway if needed.
Unfortunately, no. However, if you have extended benefits through your workplace you likely have coverage for Massage Therapy. You can also access coverage through your auto insurer if you require treatment subsequent to a car accident or through WSIB if you have sustained an injury at work. However, at this time Happy Body cannot accept payment through auto insurance or WSIB.
At this time Happy Body accepts cash, cheque, interac, and e-transfer. If you have insurance coverage we now offer direct billing for your convenience.
